Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Services

These Terms apply to use of vectorbyhand.com and to services ordered from Vector By Hand, including manual vector tracing, logo redraw, raster-to-vector conversion, illustration reconstruction and production artwork preparation.

Mandatory rights under applicable consumer, privacy and other laws continue to apply regardless of these Terms.

Project-specific written agreements or accepted quotations describe the scope and deliverables of each order.

2. Requests, Quotes and Order Acceptance

Submitting artwork or a contact form requests a review or quote and does not, by itself, create a paid order. A project proceeds when both parties accept its scope, price and applicable payment requirements.

Each quote should identify the intended use, file formats, estimated turnaround, price and any specific limitations.

Changes outside the accepted scope may require a revised quotation and schedule.

3. What We Provide

We provide the artwork services agreed in the written project scope. Common deliverables can include AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and raster previews where specified. A file is prepared for the intended application identified in the order, not automatically guaranteed for every printer, embroidery system, cutter or other machine.

4. Your Artwork and Instructions

You must provide accurate instructions and hold the rights or permissions needed to supply the materials you submit.

You remain responsible for obtaining any necessary authorization for logos, trademarks, photographs, fonts, characters and other protected content.

Vector By Hand may decline projects that appear unlawful, fraudulent or infringing. We do not conduct legal trademark clearance or guarantee that a design supplied by a customer is free from third-party claims.

5. Pricing, Payments and Taxes

The accepted quote or invoice sets the price, currency, payment method, any deposit requirements and applicable taxes. A free quote does not mean the finished artwork is free. Any payment processing or currency conversion charges should be disclosed in the order process when relevant.

6. Timing and Delivery

Delivery estimates generally depend on receiving the needed source artwork, final instructions and any agreed advance payment. Incomplete source material, delayed feedback or changes to project scope may affect the schedule.

Finished work is supplied using the delivery channel agreed for the project. Customers should download and retain secure copies of completed files.

7. Proofs and Revisions

When proofs are provided, please review spelling, colors, dimensions, lettering, outlines and other visible details carefully. The number and scope of revisions are defined in the accepted quotation or written order confirmation.

A correction within the original brief is different from introducing new artwork, a new concept or materially changed production specifications, which may require a separate quote. Approval does not waive statutory rights for defective or nonconforming services.

8. Production Suitability

We apply reasonable professional care when preparing artwork against the instructions agreed for the project. Unless expressly included in the order, final validation for a particular printer, material, embroidery digitizer, CNC tool, cutter or signage process remains with the customer and production provider. Mandatory legal quality guarantees are not excluded.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

For any cancellation request, contact info@vectorbyhand.com with the project reference and reason. We will review the project stage, work already performed, amounts paid, the accepted order terms and rights required by applicable law.

If a customer has a statutory withdrawal, cancellation, repair, price reduction or refund right, those rights take precedence over any inconsistent project term. Any legally required information or consent concerning commencement of a custom service must be given and obtained through the ordering process, not presumed merely from reading this page.

10. Ownership and Licensing

Customers or the original rights holders retain their rights in artwork they supplied. Rights to newly created final files, editable source files and any original contributions are governed by the accepted written order terms and applicable law.

Full payment may be a condition of delivery or grant of agreed rights.

Vector By Hand retains rights in pre-existing internal tools, templates, methods and know-how. Third-party fonts, imagery or other licensed components remain subject to their respective licenses. Tracing a third-party logo does not remove underlying copyright or trademark restrictions.

11. Confidentiality and Portfolio Use

Nonpublic project material shared for a client assignment should be treated as confidential for that purpose, subject to lawful exceptions. Portfolio or promotional use of identifiable client artwork requires permission or another legally valid basis. An agreed NDA or separate confidentiality arrangement prevails to the extent applicable.

12. Use of Contractors and Third-Party Tools

A project may involve authorized production personnel or service providers where consistent with the accepted arrangement and applicable confidentiality and data-protection requirements. The actual workflow and any particular white-label conditions should be agreed for sensitive or recurring work.

13. Acceptable Website Use

Do not submit malware, illegal content or material that you are not authorized to share. Do not attempt unauthorized access to the website, interfere with its operation or use it for fraud. Reasonable protective action may be taken to address abuse, subject to applicable law.

14. Limitations and Mandatory Rights

We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability, particular search rankings, universal machine compatibility or a specific business outcome from vector artwork. Nothing in these Terms excludes duties, liabilities or customer rights that cannot legally be excluded, including protections concerning fraud and statutory consumer remedies.

15. Dispute Resolution

For any concern about an order, please contact info@vectorbyhand.com so the parties can review the written brief, delivered files and correspondence and attempt a reasonable resolution. The courts and applicable laws for a dispute depend on relevant legal rules, the parties’ locations and any enforceable written project agreement; mandatory consumer jurisdiction rights are preserved.

16. Events Outside Our Control

Events reasonably beyond either party’s control may affect project timelines. We will aim to notify the client of material delays and take reasonable steps to minimize disruption. This does not remove any cancellation, refund or other right that applicable law requires.

17. Updates and Contact

The version of the Terms accepted for an order governs that order except where the parties lawfully agree to a change.

Website terms may be revised for future use. If a term is unenforceable, the other terms continue where legally possible.
