How we work
Proofs and Revisions
Before final files are delivered, you check a proof. Here is how proofs, corrections and approval work, so there are no surprises.
The proof stage
What a proof is
A proof is a preview of the redrawn artwork, usually a PDF or image, sent before final delivery. It lets you check the result against your original and your intended use.
What to check
Spelling, lettering, colours, proportions, outlines and any small details that matter to you. If the artwork is for a specific production method, check it against your printer’s or machine’s requirements too.
Corrections within the brief
If something doesn’t match the original or the agreed instructions, tell us and we correct it. The number and scope of revisions are set out in your accepted quote.
Changes outside the brief
New artwork, a new concept or materially different production specifications are different from corrections. These may need a separate quote and schedule, which we always agree with you first.
Approval and delivery
Once you approve the proof, we prepare and deliver the final files in the agreed formats. Please download and keep secure copies of your files.
Unclear originals
If part of your source artwork is unreadable, we tell you before the proof stage and agree how to handle it, rather than guessing.
Before you upload
Getting It Right First Time
Most corrections come from details that weren’t visible in the original or weren’t mentioned. A few notes up front save a revision round.
Helpful to include
- Note anything that must stay exactly as it is
- Point out known spelling or wording
- Share colour references if colours matter
- Tell us the production method and size
- Mention fixed deadlines up front
FAQ
Proof and Revision Questions
Straight answers before you upload. More questions are answered on the full FAQ page.
How many revisions are included?
The number and scope of revisions are defined in your accepted quote, so you know before work starts.
What counts as a correction?
Anything that doesn’t match the original artwork or the instructions agreed in your brief, such as a wrong colour, a lettering mistake or a missing detail.
Can I change the design after seeing the proof?
Yes, but changes beyond the original brief, such as new elements or a different concept, may need a separate quote. We always agree this with you first.
Do I have to approve the proof before delivery?
Proof approval confirms you’re happy with the artwork before final files are prepared. See our terms for full details.
Ready to Get Started?
Upload your artwork and instructions. We’ll confirm scope, formats and revisions in your quote.
